Family owned, doing business in Kansas City since 1992.

Mr. Shade is a father and son owned and operated business. We have been conducting business in the Kansas City metro since 1992. For more than three decades, we've made it our mission to give every customer the best possible service — and a solution for every window, no matter the size of the job.

From a single shade to a whole-home install, every project begins with an in-home consultation and ends with an installation measured to the millimeter. No subcontractors, no shortcuts — just the craft and the care of a family that treats your home like our own.

We install Draper® shades — made in Spiceland, Indiana since 1902 by roughly 700 craftspeople, with premium fabrics woven in the USA by Phifer® and Mermet. It's the quality standard we hold every installation to, from the FlexShade® motorized line to exterior FlexShade® ZIP and the child-safe cordless Elevate.
